**FULL-TIME SERVICE GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER** **POSITION - METRO TRUCK GROUP, MILTON LOCATION**

As our trusted brand continues to evolve, the General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to building maintenance, cleaning, outdoor work, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs. The General Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

**Position duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, identifying and addressing maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and hardware replacements
- Respond to maintenance requests from various departments and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Perform regular cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust and wipe surfaces; empty trash and recycling bins as required
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor areas, including parking lots, walkways, and landscaping
- Clear snow, ice, and debris from walkways and parking lots during inclement weather
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and unclogging drains.
- Assist with the installation and repair of electrical fixtures, outlets, and switches.
- Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components as necessary
- Perform work with safety as a priority and abiding by all safety policies and standards set out by the Metro Truck Group of Companies
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set out by the Metro Truck Group of companies
- Uphold strong communication, organization and time management skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of staff

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in general maintenance work, including building maintenance, cleaning, and basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Refined time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- While performing the duties of this Job, the General Maintenance Worker is required to stand; walk; bend; lift heavy objects; work at heights when required.
