**Role**:

Government of Alberta is looking for administrators in the Sentence Administration area who have experience from the court, police, probation or criminal law fields. In this role, you will also be responsible for the interpretation of criminal legal documents and the accurate data entry into the Offender Records and Correctional Administration (ORCA) data base. You will be responsible for the creation of inmate hard-copy files and for the ongoing maintenance of inmate records. Using effective communication skills, you will obtain personal information directly from inmates and respond to inquiries related to department policy and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) legislation and regulations. Relying on your coordination abilities, you will administer files for inmate admission and release and you will liaise with court clerks, crown prosecutors, police officers, and other enforcement agencies to clarify court documents and coordinate inmate court appearances. A keen eye for detail coupled with accurate typing skills is essential to this position.

Please note shift work is a requirement.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma with at least three years of related Sentence Administrative experience or related education. Experience within the criminal justice field is an asset. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems is an asset Experience with Government systems (JOIN, ORCA or CPIC) is an asset.

**Salary**:
$1,884.99 to $2,307.87 biweekly ($49,198 to $60,235/year)

Wages: $26.00 to $31.83 per Hour

**Notes**:
This competition will be used to fill 3 full time permanent positions at ERC and FSCC as well as 7 wage positions at ERC. Hours of Work is 36.25 per week.

Work Locations:
Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre hours are on a 5-2 Monday to Friday Schedule with rotating hours of operation working 7.25 hours daily between the hours of 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m and 10:45 am to 7:00 p.m.

You will be eligible for a Correctional Institutional Salary Allowance for each day worked. You may also receive shift differential and weekend premiums depending on your assigned shift. Shifts range from 6:45am to 3pm (AM Shift) and 2:45pm to 11pm (PM Shift).
