**General Summary**

**Reporting to Operations Supervisor**.

The truck operator is responsible for the safe operation regarding loading, hauling, tires to recycling facilities in southern and northern Ontario.

A truck operator/material handler works in a fast-paced environment, who is able to travel across Ontario loading and hauling scrap tires to and from tire recycling facilities throughout Ontario.

The general duties and responsibilities for an AZ truck operator/material handler for All Ontario Recycling are listed as follows:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Hauling tires to various locations to processors in Ontario
- Minor maintenance (servicing, cleaning, and troubleshooting)
- Maintain elogs according to company and provincial regulations.
- Perform loading and unloading efficiently focusing on safety, quality and production while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in loading and unloading using Serco crane and grapple.
- You will load various size tires from car and truck tires to heavy equipment tires and provide accurate counts for reporting requirements.
- Strong knowledge on road planning and navigation
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Complete documentation after each load using a dedicated App.
- Inspect truck daily and documents on checklists to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Daily management of drivers’ route
- Safe operation of Serco crane and truck
- Able to keep up with maintenance of trucks.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Will be dealing with Dispatch, Tire Recycling facilities and All Ontario Recycling customer base in a courteous and professional manner.
- Load, unload and identify materials.
- Lubricate, clean machinery and equipment.
- Performs daily preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper working order such as lubrication, greasing, fueling, and keeping cab clean.
- Use crane to load scrap tires from piles into truck for delivery.
- Daily deliveries to the tire processors in Southern Ontario
- Provide all paperwork (load and scale tickets) to accounting weekly.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Can work in remote areas.
- Is not disturbed by unanticipated situations and adapts to urgent situations.
- Is available to stay overnight 1-4 nights a week.
- Be able to self-dispatch and plan routes.
- Plan and execute work autonomously.

- Exceptional spacial awareness

- Effective time management skills
- Must be dependable, reliable, responsible and fulfill obligations.
- Knowledge and understanding of truck systems.
- Excellent communication skills
- Clean AZ Drivers Abstract
- Must be proficient in electronic logs.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.
- AZ driver’s License
- Must have clean CVOR and abstract.
