**Position Overview**:
The City of Regina is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Destination Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and enhance the visibility of our destination. Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Communications, Service Regina & Tourism, the Director will play a key role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our destination as a premier choice for visitors, events, and business activities. As an integral part of our corporate-wide initiatives, you will actively participate in policy development, planning, and special projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns to promote the destination.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance the destination's brand and market presence.
Lead a high-performing marketing team, providing strategic direction and fostering a creative and collaborative work environment.
Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
Utilize various marketing channels, including digital platforms, social media, and traditional advertising, to reach target audiences.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, community organizations, and tourism partners.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed.
Actively participate in corporate-wide policy development, planning, and special projects.
Collaborate to shape an industry engagement strategy, leveraging Regina's assets and stakeholders.

**Key Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
10+ years in destination marketing or a similar role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
**Holds Industry Knowledge**: Ability to provide direction and strategy for a high-performance team in traditional and digital communication and integrated marketing. Can direct communications and marketing tactics for major events, activations, travel media, and influencer campaigns. Ability to create a destination brand, marketing approach, and short-term strategy to build positive sentiment.
**A Strategic Planner**: Ability to collaborate with leaders to develop long-term and annual business plans for destination development, sales, and visitor services. Skill in overseeing and directing the development of departmental programs and services, setting objectives, service levels, and performance targets.
**Strong Stakeholder Engagement**: A strong leader in stakeholder relationships with the ability to facilitate partnerships for destination marketing and brand development. Ability to provide strategic direction and insights on industry reporting, intel, and projections.
**Financial Management**: Experienced in ensuring timely and accurate budget forecasting and analysis, with a track record of implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
