**Customer Care Specialist**

**About the role**

**What you will do**
- Responsible for all ocean and airfreight bookings, verify bookings and get appropriate approvals before relaying information overseas

- Ability to negotiate prices with carriers and customers
- Answering customer inquiries related to pricing, sales and service issues
- Review customer's requests and prepare sales rate quotations
- Create and maintain customer SOP's
- Source costing and prepare quotations to clients for all modes of transport
- Pro-actively communicate any service issues or delays to clients
- Problem-solve client specific issues from the point of order placement through to completion
- Ensure rates, fuel surcharges, and any applicable accessorial charges are correctly inputted
- Responsible for resolving in a diligent and business efficient manner customer complaints and implement measures to prevent their frequency and recurrence
- Escalation of all operational and customer service issues to the appropriate manager when required
- Support outside sales team on any rate inquiries and complete bi-weekly rate update to all clients
- Follow up with overseas agents on bookings and rates
- Filing e manifest prior to cargo sailing

**Skills & Competencies**
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in similar position with an International
- Freight Forwarding organization
- Experience of Air & Ocean - Import/Export logistics
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Sales skills and persuasive abilities
- Enthusiastic and result driven
- Strong organization skills
- Experience working with a CMS (Customer Management System)
