**Report To: Plant Manager & Shipping Coordinator**

**Job Overview**:
Teknaform Inc. in Bolton is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Shipping Lead Hand in the fast pace shipping department to lead and delegate job responsibilities to meet customer's demands by fulfilling orders on time and providing exceptional service on shipping our edge banding products to our valued customers. The Shipping Lead Hand will work closely with the Shipping Coordinator to keep up to date with carrier issues changes, packaging skids, reorganizing skids, and rectifying shipping-related issues. You will assist the Shipping Coordinator with other projects and initiatives to create satisfaction for our customers. The main goal is ensuring the shipping process is smooth and effective.

**General Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Ensure that MOL compliance is a top priority and that employees adhere to its legislation.
- Create a safe and conducive environment for workers, by taking precautionary measures against accidents.
- Oversee loading and unloading of products from carrier trucks.
- Locate, arrange, and move stock of products for shipment.
- Assemble and wrap skids for shipment.
- Report to management and/or shipping coordinator any shipping issues.
- Verify and inspect boxes or skids before transporting them in the carrier’s trucks.
- Identify damaged products and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Direct the flow of packaging the products to shipment.
- Manage all outbound documents which includes the bill of lading & packing slips.
- Direct, lead, and oversee the shipping team members.
- Carried out any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager and Shipping Coordinator.

**Experience & Qualification**:

- Proven experience as a Shipping Team Lead in the manufacturing/supply chain environment would be an asset.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial lift trucks.
- Experience in leading and directing a team.
- Valid certification to operate lift trucks, primarily Counterbalance, Raymond Reach, and Order Picker.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Shipping experience with carrier services.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to lift boxes repetitively.
- Must be able to stand for long periods when required.
- Must be able to drive the lift trucks for long periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 57.50 per week
