**Alexandria Moulding**, a brand of Specialty Building Products, is a customer focused manufacturer and distributor of quality mouldings and related millwork products for both Canadian and U.S. residential housing markets. The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for ensuring that inventory movements are correctly transacted, and inventory is accurately recorded, verified and maintained in the computer in a timely manner and also that purchased product conforms to and meets Alexandria’s needs and that of Alexandria’s customers. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating problems, issues and concerns and implementing corrective actions, conducting internal audits and facilitating improvement and countermeasures as they relate to inventory management.

**Responsibilities and Essential Functions**:

- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Systematically record information that will be used to track locations of parts throughout the facility. Individual may be required to climb a ladder and/or mobile stairs to access parts.
- Responsible for the overall production, capacity and material planning, purchasing, warehousing, inventory control, and scheduling activities to maximize schedule adherence, customer service, and delivery.
- Investigate and determine the causes of inventory discrepancies of day-to-day inventory transactions.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, material control, ECO implementation, and scheduling.
- Lead and organize Physical Inventory counts on a quarterly basis, reconcile discrepancies upon completion of the count process.
- Develop Cycle Count Program and perform routine cycle counts.
- Maintain and arrange locations, ensuring ERP system reflects these locations
- Responsible for a formalized inventory cycle count control system to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
- Manage inventory location: where should inbound inventory be stocked

Ensure inventory levels in the Manufacturing by moving material from offsite storage, tent, etc.
- Daily interaction with Managers, Supervisors and shop floor employees within the Planning, Distribution, Customer Service and Manufacturing Departments.
- Participate in project teams, committees and meetings as required
- Advise Engineering of concerns regarding unit of measure, update bill of material standards as per scheduler and recommend solutions.
- Provide services to ensure quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of inventory management
- Work closely with other team members to accomplish project goals
- Design, develop and execute automated and manual test cases to meet project requirements
- Communicate progress and results in a timely and accurate manner
- Contain suspect material while ensuring an adequate supply of acceptable material to support customers
- Maintain, measure and report on assigned key performance indicators (KPI)
- Prepare and present reports as required
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Credentials**:

- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in related field.
- CPIM Certification or on track to be certified a definite asset.
- Basic knowledge of RF inventory tracking systems.
- Knowledge of ERP software systems.
- Knowledge of quality systems
- Possess “Big Picture Operation” knowledge
- Minimum 3 years in a Supply Chain role in a manufacturing / distribution environment is preferred.

Experience with MFG/Pro and advanced Excel skills are an asset.
