**Social Media Marketing Co-ordinator**

**SUMMARY**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop, implement and maintain day-to-day activities on SNGRDC social channels.
- Posting content, monitoring online conversations/issues and visitors.
- Actively participate in marketing strategy and planning sessions.
- Collaborate with internal departments on creative approaches to meeting project objectives: articulating the production process and expectations, communicating issues, providing status updates, and suggesting appropriate methods for improvement.
- Provide communications assistance (content development, marketing collateral production, etc.) to internal departments.
- Create organic and engage content, sourcing images, writing captions to build awareness.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends by attending workshops, courses, and reading relevant material.
- Taking photos, short videos and editing for social media and promotions.
- Support all aspects of internal and external public relations and corporate activities, events elements, including research and preparation of departmental media.
- Ensuring company standards, messaging and style guidelines are adhered to and content is presented in an appealing and professional manner.
- Review finalized materials to be sure there are no errors.
- Work with internal technology software and hardware.
- Select fonts, colours, shapes, designs, styles, and layouts for projects compliant with AODA standards.
- Prepare reports to follow and optimize growth and pain points.

**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE***

Minimum Requirements:

- College or professional certificate in Digital Marketing, Social Media Design, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or journalism
- Experience with social media management software.
- Knowledge of social media and marketing best practices and trends
- Demonstrated communication, writing, copyediting, and research skills.
- Knowledge of web design, website administration, writing and working with editing tools such as HTML is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience working with Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Adobe Edition, Adobe Illustrator, or other design programs is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-end multimedia presentations.
- Experience using various social media platforms.
- Demonstrated success in contributing to effective teamwork coupled with the ability to work independently in a high-pressure demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to multiple priorities and to meet deadlines successfully under pressure.
- Must pass a police record check.
- Willingness to learn, accept change and adapt to new ideas, business concepts and cultures.
- Flexible (extra hours may be required on occasion).

**IMPACT OF ERROR**

Error in judgement may lead to loss of credibility, poor public relations, public confidence, and misinformation resulting in embarrassment and potential liability to SNGRDC.
