We are a law firm in downtown Victoria. We are looking for a full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) junior to intermediate legal assistant to work in our office and help our solicitors grow our wills and estates, corporate, and real estate practice.

This position will involve the following skills:
**Interpersonal skills**:

- Help us deliver a warm and welcoming client experience and a professional office environment for our co-workers

**Computer skills**:

- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Design and format documents, tables, charts in Word with an eye for clarity and ease of understanding
- Able to set up spreadsheets with formulas in Excel
- Openness to learning new software, with a self-directed approach to online research and learning how to use and improve skills with software

**Language skills**:

- Draft and proofread legal documents that can contain advanced grammar and vocabulary
- Reading legislation for instructions to prepare documents

**Math skills**:

- Preparing financial records with accurate arithmetic.

**Organization skills**:

- Careful and diligent attention to filing physical and digital records so they are easy to find
- Work well under pressure and against deadlines

This position will require a high level of honesty and integrity.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- High school diploma
- Post-secondary education considered an asset.
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certification (in progress or completed) considered an asset.
- Previous experience working in a solicitor’s practice considered an asset.
