We are currently seeking a **Lead Instructor, Primary Care Paramedic, **responsible for teaching and delivering the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program content. In this role, you will ensure program quality by aligning content with best practices and industry needs, and supervising sessional faculty to maintain consistent education standards. Your consistent presence for students will support their academic progression and success.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
**Instruction and Classroom Management**
- Deliver PCP program instruction using varied methods within the pre-determined curriculum.
- Lead and collaborate with sessional faculty for consistent program delivery.
- Manage day-to-day delivery schedule; liaise with sessional instructors.
- Orient and mentor new faculty.
- Participates in the organizing and care of program equipment and ambulances.
- Perform related duties, as assigned.

**Student Support and Evaluation**
- Provide feedback to students; meet to review strengths and weaknesses.
- Conduct student evaluations; document progress.
- Recommend and facilitate tutorials and retests.
- Identify and direct 'at-risk' students to support services.
- Serve as a primary link between students and the Regional Training Coordinator/Program Managers.
- Provide support resources during training.
- Conduct student progress reviews and meet with students to review competency attainment/signoff

**Program Development and Collaboration**
- Participate in PCP Program and Regional Lead Instructor meetings.
- Collaborate with Regional Training Coordinators and Program Managers for consistency and best practices.
- Work with EMR and ACP Lead Instructors for integrated learning and resource efficiency.
- Maintain currency in the paramedic field; pursue growth in education, technology, and leadership.
- Participate in curriculum development, program review, and accreditation cycles.
- Administer program accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with Distributed Learning PCP course faculty.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:
**Education and Training**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field (e.g., Health Sciences, Education, Clinical Practice).
- Recent (within five years) direct work experience as a PCP (or higher) Paramedic.
- Completion of JIBC INDC-1110 Essential Skills for Training and Facilitation course, or equivalent courses in Adult Education and instructional design.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Familiarity with learning technologies and various supervision models.
- Experience as an instructor, evaluator, or in a similar role, delivering PCP, EMR, FR, and/or FA courses.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, web browsers, mobile devices, and Blackboard.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and respond to student needs.
- Demonstrated judgment and sensitivity in handling complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Regional Training Coordinators, Program Managers, Sessional Instructors, Nurse Clinicians, Field Preceptors, Chief Medical Officer, and others.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
