**JOB OVERVIEW**

The NDT Technician will be performing calibrations, non-destructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results. The NDT Technician is qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The NDT Technician will be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Testing and Evaluation**
- Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Radiography (RT) inspections on aircraft, engines, and all related components to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) in accordance with the scope and limitations of the NDT method being used
- Ensure test criteria are applied in accordance with applicable specifications, codes or standards
- Ensure testing outcomes are evaluated for acceptance or rejection, organized, and reported in writing
- Assist in the establishment of techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations

**Calibration**
- Calibrate testing equipment and interpret results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications

**Collaboration**
- Work closely with the Project Supervisor, Customer, NDT Supervisor and Management about identification and interpretation of test results, work priorities and progress of projects
- Actively participate in company safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- CGSB Level II Certifications in ET and/or UT are essential
- CGSB Level II Certifications in PT and MT are an asset
- CGSB Level I RT (EMC) or Level II RT (Aircraft Structures) is an asset
- NAS 410 Level 2 ET/UT/PT/MT/RT may be considered
- 5 years of experience performing NDT inspections
- Ability to interpret drawings and other authoritative publications for NDT inspections
- Flexibility to travel away from base
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good report writing capabilities
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working with little to no supervision
- Must be comfortable working at heights for extended periods of time
- Must be able to obtain confined space qualification
- Be a team player
- Be self-motivator
- Be a problem solver

The base wage range is $32 to $40/hr depending upon experience and certifications. You are eligible for endorsement pay, increasing with the number of NDT tickets you are certified to perform (additional $0.50 - $2.00/ticket).
