Outside Sales Representative

Stoney Creek, Canada EDGE1 EQUIPMENT RENTALS INC Full time

As an Outside Sales Rep at EDGE1 Equipment, you will be the voice and initial point of contact for our company. You will be responsible for generating profitable business from the range of equipment, supplies and services that EDGE1 Equipment specializes in. You will do this by developing your assigned territory, implementing sales plans to grow business and maintain current customer base, and by helping to build the EDGE1 Equipment brand identity.
We will rely on you to use your exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand the needs of interested parties and turn them into loyal customers. You must be ambitious and outgoing, with a love for calling on customers, building relationships and selling our equipment and services.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

- Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory
- Leverage your cold-calling & closing skills to expand an existing portfolio within a high demand market
- Work with an incredible team of people that takes the extra step and make it happen for the customer
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies, acting as a single point of contact for such customers
- Prospect and qualify new accounts from existing accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts
- Prepare sales action plans and strategies
- Develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
- Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
- Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:

- One or more years of sales experience
- Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Solid computer skills
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
- Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

**Salary**: $50.00-$65.00 per year
