Customer Quality Project Manager
**WHAT TO EXPECT**:
As a Customer Quality Project Manager, your role will be to support the engineering team in the development and production of all products manufactured in the motorsport industry to the quality level required by the customer. You will also have the chance to be in direct contact with all our customers, that is to say, all the major manufacturers of motorsports vehicles in the world
Are you afraid of being bored at work? No risk in this position, because with the amount of new projects we have per year, coupled with occasional trips to our clients, you won't see your weeks go by
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our quality team structure within the new Soucy Motorsports division. The challenge will be to adapt our quality processes for products that are manufactured mainly in Asian and North American factories. Your communication and teamwork skills will be put to good use to manage quality remotely with our various on-site teams.
Basically, your main responsibility will be to take charge of quality with a group of identified customers in order to contribute to the smooth running of our new product development and operations.
Here's an overview of your tasks:
- Represent the quality function during product development using PDP best practices
- Define, communicate and enforce quality criteria and standards with our suppliers as well as the documents to be submitted by them for part approval
- Support our teams in Asia and Drummondville in the development of new products and operations
- Manage, compile, process and communicate daily non-conformities issued by our customers to the various departments
- Use quality methodologies (8D, PDCA, 5M/Ishikawa, 5Whys) to find the root causes of non-conformances and ensure the implementation of permanent solutions
- Travel to our North American customers to manage non-conformances when required
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or DEC or related field
- Good customer service skills
- Availability and flexibility (conference call outside of work hours)
- Bilingualism essential
- Willingness to travel occasionally (valid passport)
- Experience in the quality field, in a manufacturing environment or having been the quality representative to customers would be an asset
- Experience in APQP / PPAP / FMEA
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 would be an asset
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, traditional and 3D metrology
**WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER**:
- Permanent, full-time position
- You'll be joining a team that's committed to solving day-to-day issues, but always in a pleasant work environment
- The best of both worlds: the resources of a large company and a family-like atmosphere
- A team that is passionate, attentive and committed to excellence
- Flexible schedules that allow you to balance your work and your personal life
- Group insurance (different plans adapted to your needs)
- Registered Retirement Savings Plan with employer contributions
- Employee and family assistance program
- Social activities.
