**Administrative Assistant**

The Pacific Salmon Commission (PSC) is an international organization responsible for cooperative salmon fisheries management in Canada and the United States and is seeking a full-time permanent Administrative Assistant. The incumbent will be a part of an administrative team, reports to the PSC Meeting Planner, and is one of 30 staff members in the PSC offices in the downtown west end of Vancouver, B.C.

The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of duties and works closely with a variety of staff to ensure efficient operation of the Commission and timely delivery of services to its community of federal, First Nation, tribal, state, and provincial delegates. The incumbent will be required to work onsite without routine telework.

- Answering phone calls, distributing mail, sending out courier packages
- Maintaining office machines and ordering supplies
- Managing a small fleet of eight vehicles, including taking them in for maintenance and returning to storage in the fall
- Taking, formatting, and distributing Commission minutes
- Voice mail administration
- Updating database lists
- General website updates
- Putting information packages together
- Providing administrative support during meetings of the Commission

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary school diploma or higher
- Professional verbal and written English skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Word and Outlook proficiency
- Pleasant, friendly, client-oriented attitude
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to travel into the United States
- Working Excel skills and web tools such as Adobe Acrobat would be preferred

**Salary**: $50,821.00-$54,857.00 per year
