**Key Responsibilities**:

- The position is responsible for design and implementation of electronic control, data acquisition and communication systems, and data analytics for industry funded applied research projects.
- Teamwork with experts in innovative and novel technological solutions on industry challenges.

**Skills & Abilities**:
Technical Skills in the following categories are necessary:

- Electronic circuit design and simulation.
- Solid understanding of analog, digital, and mixed signal electronics.
- Electrical and Electronic system implementation and troubleshooting.
- Internet of Things (IoT) based system design involving data acquisition and system control.
- Microcontroller based embedded system design, firmware development and implementation.
- Sensor networking through wireless, cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Data analytics and programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, C++, Python).
- Microcontroller interfacing with windows and/or Raspberry Pi OS.

Working knowledge or familiarity with the following will be an asset:

- PCB design and implementation.
- FPGA programming and circuit implementation.
- Machine learning and deep learning.
- Knowledge on power electronics and electrical machines.
- Familiarity with AWS and MS Azure platforms.
- Web and desktop based graphical user interface design.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Equivalencies may be considered.

**Remuneration**:$2,320.28 - $3,109.48 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Research Officer II)
- This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
