**Title**: Program Coordinator, Healthy Eating and Food Security
**Salary**: $72,841 - $91,051 - $100,156 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Term role - 24 months from hire
**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
**Location**: Metro Vancouver Area - Onsite/Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after Summer 2026. Travel ocationally required.

**About the role**
As Program Coordinator, Healthy Eating and Food Security, you will coordinate and support the planning and delivery of FNHA prevention and health promotion programs and actions that promote healthy eating along the life course (from prenatal to older adults) as well as household and community food security and First Nations food sovereignty. Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Healthy Eating and Food Security, Environmental Public Health Services, the Program Coordinator works with FNHA Regional Teams, First Nations communities, and other internal and external health system partners to understand and respond to the health and wellness of First Nations in BC to ensure a diversity of food choices, including Indigenous foods, create community conditions to facilitate nourishing choices among First Nations populations and strengthen Indigenous-led strategies for nutrition and food security across the lifespan.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
**Education**
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s-level in a discipline related to dietetics, food systems or other relevant discipline or an acceptable combination of education, training and professional experience.
- Eligibility for registration with relevant professional organization if applicable

**Experience**
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience working with First Nations communities or organizations on issues related to food security, food sovereignty, and healthy eating, including land-based experiences.
- Experience establishing collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
- Experience working with First Nations communities and/or organizations.
- Experience in public-facing communications and program coordination.
- Experience in Project Management is considered an asset.

**Knowledge and Competencies**
- Knowledge of theories, practices and principles related to nutrition, healthy eating, food security/sovereignty, and land-based experiences and/or research.
- Knowledge of needs specific to Indigenous/First Nations populations in the area of nutrition, healthy eating, food security/sovereignty
- Knowledge of health and wellness delivery vehicles and models in BC, Canada and internationally, particularly in indigenous populations
- Recent, relevant experience in program planning and development in nutrition, healthy eating and food security/sovereignty.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships internally and externally, particularly with First Nation communities.
