- As a Media and Evidence Disclosure Specialist with Emergency Management & Community Safety (EMCS), you will process audio and video footage from Body Worn Camera and In-Car Digital Video systems from Community Peace Officers and support units for evidence and court disclosure. You will also be responsible for the conversion, vetting and editing needs of digital media for court-ready evidence and court disclosure. Primary duties include:

- Use various technologies and a range of software techniques to examine, review, convert, vet and redact a variety of digital multimedia evidence for disclosure.
- Prioritize court ready media or documents to meet court dates.
- Complete copies for disclosure submission requests in a time sensitive manner.
- Review every media file received from Peace Officers to ensure the integrity and playability of the digital evidence.
- Determine which proprietary software programs to provide to Crown Prosecutors.
- Generate reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets.
- Complete conversion of media and editing requests.
- Respond to Crown Inquiry memos.
- Educate Peace Officers, internal partners and Crown partners regarding media submissions.

**Qualifications**
- A completed 1 year certificate in Justice, Police Studies or a related field and at least 1 year of experience working in policing, law enforcement or a court related environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required.
- Knowledge of video capture technologies and techniques, digital image capture techniques, and audio and video players/recorders.
- The ability to work effectively alone and in a team environment, demonstrate sensitivity when dealing with confidential information, and adapt to changing work priorities to meet customer needs.
- Success in this role requires efficiency and thoroughness, strong judgement and analytical skills, excellent communication skills and demonstrated professionalism.

**Working Conditions**:Exposure to graphic and disturbing media.
