**GIAG -Seniors Home Maintenance program**

**Job title: Landscaping Gardener**

The Home Maintenance Program (HMP) is offered to seniors living in their homes to assist them with yard work and other home maintenance tasks during the months of July and August.

**SHORT TERM CONTRACT POSITION 35hrs/wk for 8 weeks**

**Job Description and Qualifications**
- Contact clients
- Work independently.
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Physical work
- Able to operate a sit-down lawn tractor, lawn mower & wiper snipper
- Oral and written fluency in English & French
- Maintain an attitude of excellent customer service, a positive attitude and a helpful disposition while working with seniors.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Current Criminal Reference Check.
- knowledge of health and safety procedures
- **Valid Driver’s License and vehicle**
- be between 15 and 29 years of age at the start of the employment.
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and,
- be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
