As a Bookkeeper/Entry-Level Cost Analyst with Closets by Design, you will be working directly with Management, processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining detailed financial records, and making valuable suggestions that will impact the organization’s key financial decisions.

**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
- Gather and analyze financial data to uncover cost inefficiencies
- Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs
- Help management make important decisions regarding costs, investments, market growth, and price changes
- Create and manage budgets, and monitor spending
- Conduct audits on financial processes and transactions
- Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs
- Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions to management

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A College Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ accounting/bookkeeping experience performing functions related to AP/AR
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience performing cost analysis an asset
