**The School**
The role is within our School of Applied Sciences and Technology. The departments within the School are located on our Grande Prairie campus and our Fairview campus. The School offers a variety of programming in Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sciences, and Animal Health Technology. Through this programming, we offer a variety of certificates, diplomas, university transfer courses, as well as a degree in computing science.

**The Role**
The Humanities and Social Sciences Department requires a Social Work Instructor to teach the undergraduate-level Introduction to Social Work (SW2010 course in the fall term. This part-time, sessional position will commence September 5, 2023. **This course will be delivered on campus.**

Job Requirements

Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

- A minimum of a Master of Social Work degree or equivalent, with a PhD preferred.
- Knowledge of different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles;
- Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies (e.g., videoconferencing, learning management systems) is required;
- Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action;
- Student-focused;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
