The KinderPAL Early Childhood Instructor works under the supervision of the school principal and? is responsible for the?daily?planning, organization,?and implementation?of?programming for kindergarten?aged?students.? Instructors will plan and implement the?KinderPAL?program to?provide programming?that follows a?child-centered,?play-based approach?guided?by?FLIGHT: ?Alberta’s Early Learning?and Care Framework. Key responsibilities include the development and delivery of developmentally appropriate activities, which support student participation and engagement in meaningful learning activities?in a nurturing and safe environment.

**Qualifications**:
relevant education such as Early Childhood Education or Educational Assistant training considered an asset

CPR/First Aid Certification preferred

three years of related experience?in the education field

demonstrated ability to?effectively interact with and relate to children in a developmentally appropriate manner

other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform the position may be considered

possess knowledge of child development and best practices in early learning

have effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students,?staff?and parents as necessary

strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

be able to lead large group?learning?activities, as well as?guide and extend learning in?small groups?or with?individual students

be willing?to utilize positive?behaviour?supports?according to established? school/division guidelines

maintain confidentiality and?honour?the right to privacy for all students and their families during and outside the school day
