**Position Overview**:We are looking for an Estimator specializing in the use of the Mitchell Estimating System, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing vehicle damages and estimating repair costs for insurance claims. Working within the framework of British Columbia's Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), you will utilize your expertise in collision repair and proficiency in the Mitchell Estimating System to provide accurate and efficient estimates for vehicle repairs. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and knowledge of industry standards will contribute to fair and timely claims resolution.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Vehicle Damage Assessment**: Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of damages, including body, structural, and mechanical components, following ICBC guidelines.
- **Estimation**: Utilize the Mitchell Estimating System to generate accurate repair estimates, considering parts, labor, materials, and associated costs.
- **Communication**: Interact with customers, repair facilities, and insurance adjusters to explain the repair process, estimate details, and answer questions.
- **Documentation**: Create detailed and comprehensive repair estimates, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded in accordance with ICBC standards.
- **Negotiation**: Collaborate with repair shops to discuss and negotiate repair strategies, techniques, and costs.
- **Parts Sourcing**: Identify necessary replacement parts, considering availability, cost, and quality, while adhering to ICBC and industry guidelines.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay updated with industry trends, vehicle technologies, repair techniques, and changes in the Mitchell Estimating System.
- **Customer Service**: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and explaining the repair process to vehicle owners.
- **Adherence to Guidelines**: Ensure that all estimations and repair processes align with ICBC guidelines, policies, and industry best practices.
- **Timely Reporting**: Submit estimates and reports within stipulated timelines to facilitate efficient claims processing.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other ICBC departments, repair facilities, and vendors to ensure seamless claims resolution.

**Qualifications**:

- **Technical Expertise**: Solid background in automotive repair, collision estimation, and familiarity with the Mitchell Estimating System.
- **ICBC Knowledge**: Understanding of ICBC's processes, guidelines, and standards for vehicle repair estimations.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong ability to identify and assess damages accurately, taking into consideration both visible and hidden damages.
- **Communication Skills**: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- **Negotiation Skills**: Proficiency in negotiating repair strategies, costs, and methodologies with repair shops.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to analyze complex repair scenarios and provide appropriate solutions within ICBC's framework.
- **Time Management**: Capable of managing multiple estimates and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- **Customer-Focused**: Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and addressing customer concerns.
- **Computer Skills**: Proficiency in using the Mitchell Estimating System and other relevant software tools.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications in collision repair, automotive technology, or related fields are an asset.
