**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Assist in Content creation and account administration of social media channels and website including but not limited to videos, podcasts, photos, and stories.
- Assist in creating, organizing, and communicating special events and programs, both virtual and in person
- Assist in updating and creating relevant, accurate, and inclusive presentations and activities about energy and energy efficiency following guidelines set forth with the support of the management team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in a database
- Support on booking and scheduling engagements and trips across Nova Scotia
- Communicate effectively with the management team
- Collaborate with and support teammates
- Assist in the delivery of the Green Schools NS education program for the 2023-2024 school year both virtually and at times, in person
- Assist in conducting surveys and other evaluation methods
- Participate in meetings and training as required
- Seize all relevant opportunities to build, support, and create excitement for the program
- Maintain accurate work time and expense records and submit receipts in a timely manner.
- Use safe driving practices when on the road
- Follow company standards for personal safety including masking when/if required

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Strong spoken, written, and listening communication skills in English (French an asset)
- Familiarity with Google Suite
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License, access to a safe and reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout the city or province as required
- A criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check, will be required before beginning work in schools.

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Strong ability to take initiative, manage time, prioritize tasks, plan and organize events, strong attention to detail, collaborative teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office
- Experience or willingness to learn podcast and video creation and editing
- Public speaking and facilitation skills
- Experience working with children and youth (elementary, junior, and/or senior high school students) in a school setting and/or programming capacity.

**Experience considered an asset for this position**:

- Environmental Studies, Education, or other related field
- French language skills (written &/or spoken)
- Delivering youth programs with an environmental focus
- Working with Mi’kmaw communities
- Knowledge of energy issues and energy efficiency
- Experience working in a cross-cultural and diverse environment
- Knowledge of the Nova Scotia school system and/or curriculum outcomes and lesson plan development
- Expertise in environmental science

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
