**Job description**

In this role, you will be working closely with our construction manager, construction administrator, and office administrator to facilitate the build of our residential projects. In this role, you would be responsible for the organization of the documents that our managers or contractors require, preparing schedules with the direction of the construction manager, booking trades and vendors, confirming schedules, and so on. Ensuring all contractor and vendor teams are in compliance with our licensing, insurance and WSIB requirements will be an ongoing task. Providing clients with daily site updates, coordinating information, and keeping our project management portal up to date will also be a daily responsibility. Where detail drawings or drawing amendments are required, you would work with our design and drafting team to prepare the required information.

**What this Role Entails**:

- Assisting and supporting the construction manager & construction administrator in their daily duties.
- Create packages for construction commencement for the trades and the project managers, including drawings, specifications, and building permits.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Schedule subtrades and equipment with the direction of the construction manager.
- Effectively communicating complex information to trades on site, using drawings / specifications and verbal descriptions.
- Maintaining and updating active project files which include logging deliverables, information on changes, replacement parts, and client correspondence.
- Conduct site visits to verify design and construction details
- With the construction manager, prepare potential solutions to site issues/analyzing alternatives for the construction and/or design teams.
- With the office administrator, ensure materials and products are booked for delivery to site when needed, and/or report potential delays to the construction manager.
- Review drawing packages after the design has been finalized but before construction for potential issues and setup drawings for construction.
- Working with the construction manager to develop and maintain project schedules to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Reviewing and confirming working shop drawings for countertop, glazing, upholstery, and cabinet manufacturers.
- Update and maintain insurance and WSIB information for all trades.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a project coordinator or other similar role with relevant Canadian construction experience
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Customer service oriented.
- Strong problem solving skills and decision making abilities
- Ability to utilize online tools and technology
- The ability to monitor construction progress, providing status reports.
- Strong time management skills
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Must have a vehicle and G driving license

**Technical Qualifications**
- Ability to read and understand project specifications, drawings, and details.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft office (Mainly Word, Excel, Outlook), and Sketchup would be desirable.
- Some manual handling of materials may be required

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
