We're a Midtown Toronto-based school helping local and international students. And we're currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic part-time (potentially full time) Piano Teacher to join our team.

This means you'll be the first in line to switch to a full-time position if you wish to when the opportunity arises.

At Level Up Music School, we believe in having fun while becoming the best. So, you'll get to unleash your inner amazing piano instructor while having all the fun you could possibly imagine.

But don't worry, we take music seriously too, and we're on a mission to help our students become more than just pianists - we want them to be confident, respectful, and awesome individuals.

Over the years, some of our students have become full-time musicians, travelling and gigging, and some have even become team leaders here at our school.

**What qualifications do you need to rock this role?**
- We're looking for career-minded, passionate individuals with a standout work ethic.
- It is **MANDATORY** to be skilled in various styles (not just Classical) and love teaching students of all ages, from budding beginners to advanced. If you play modern (Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz) and have experience playing in bands, while also having a classical background, you're a perfect fit

- These classes will be for all ages, so get ready to create some musical magic
- Being Fluent in English is a must. Additional languages are always welcome
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- **Openness to continuous learning and professional development.** Every teacher goes through a 2 weeks training program regardless if they've been teaching for 20 years or are just starting out.

**Schedule**:

- School-wide, it's Showtime from 11:30 am till 8 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with Saturdays till 2 pm and Sundays off. Mondays are work-from-home day for select team members.
- However, various teachers work different hours and days. We will do our best to be flexible to accommodate your schedule.
- We hope that everyone joining the team as a contractor will become a full-time team member at some point.

- Manage all billing, collection of fees and payment plans for students.
- Provide a curriculum to which you can add your own twist, so you don't have to think about what to teach next.
- Provide a new teacher orientation support program, as well as access to online development resources.
- Continuous teacher training and skill development so you never stop learning and growing as a teacher and a musician.
- Recruit all students, assign you as their teacher, provide their orientation and handle their registration process
- Support you 100% in your teaching
- Provide you with students in a beautiful studio environment
- Pay you each month by direct deposit

- Using our own lesson library and standard lesson plans, create customized lesson plans tailored to individual students' goals, musical interests, and learning styles.
- Teach fundamental techniques, music theory, chord progressions, scales, and various piano styles, focusing on pop, rock, blues and classical.
- Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Prepare students for our twice-annual performances
- Demonstrate care and concern for your students as human beings and for their musical growth.
