- Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry? Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.

**Your role**

Are you passionate about the arts and want to share your favorite finds and cultural picks by producing original content across all our platforms? ICI Québec is looking for an energetic, driven Arts Reporter able to take initiative and work independently chasing stories.

Whether you want to work at the microphone or write online digital articles about all facets of the arts scene in the greater Quebec City area, you would be joining a high-performance team that thrives on innovating and going the extra mile.

As Arts Reporter based in Quebec City, you will work on multiple platforms as needed - digital and radio - to provide daily coverage of arts/cultural issues and events with clarity, depth, originality and accuracy.

Your content will be produced mainly for the web and radio, but you may also be asked to produce it for television.

You will meet requirements for live, feature and digital reporting by producing detailed, high-quality journalism on the arts scene in accordance with the Corporation’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.

**The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, at variable times due to the events to be covered.**

**Skills**:

- At least one (1) year of experience preparing original radio reports in a fast-paced production environment: finding angles, storytelling and identifying appropriate sources.
- In-depth knowledge of the local, national and international arts and cultural communities.
- Excellent knowledge of current events.
- Superior live reporting skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Superior editorial skills (TV, radio, digital).
- Familiarity with digital tools.
- Teamwork skills.

- Creativity.
- Superior French-language skills.
- Advanced oral proficiency, intermediate writing proficiency and advanced reading proficiency in English, an asset.
- Ability to develop contacts.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
- **Availability to work weekends and evenings based on production needs.**
- Practical test: writing and radio.
- Interview and situational scenarios: May cover general knowledge, current events knowledge or knowledge of the arts scene.-
- You are invited to consult and familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct, which can be found on our corporate website. All employees must adhere to the Code as a condition of employment. We also invite you to take a look at our policy on conflicts of interest. In the event that you become an employee, it will be important to inform us, as quickly as possible, of any situation that, because of your hiring, constitutes or could appear to constitute a conflict of interest.
