Primary Role:
**ALTERNATING WEEKENDS MANDATORY**

A Support Team SUPERVISOR plays an extremely important role at Memory & Company ensuring our Members are comfortable, happy, engaged and well cared. The Support Team Supervisor oversees all support team staff to ensure that they are adequately trained and supported. As well the Support Team Supervisor is the central leader of all support team staff ensuring good employee engagement and quality of work. We work universally as a team and all Support Team Members MUST be comfortable with personal care and leading activities.

Qualifications:

- PSW certificate, or similar experience
- 2 year experience working with people who have Alzheimer's or related dementia's, Acquired Brain Injury, Stroke or Parkinson's.
- 2 Years of Leadership experience
- Physically fit, can sit, lift (35lbs), bend and stand for long periods of time
- Mentally fit to meet the emotional demands of caregiving for people with Memory Loss
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Passionate about improving the lives of those affected by Memory Loss.
- Comfortable leading large and small group programs
- Comfortable with all aspects of personal care care in a sensitive, private and respectful manner
- Comfortable with light housekeeping and dining assistance
- Creative and enjoys running daily programming
- Enjoys the universal Support Team approach.
- Keen, reliable, energetic, friendly, approachable

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Providing leadership to the support team
- Ensuring all training is organized and delivered for the recipients understanding
- Job previews and recruitment
- Delegating tasks and recognizing gaps of service
- Providing direction to all support staff and assisting with education.
- Mediating front line issues between team members
- Strategizing and problem solving all minor conflicts with team or Members.
- Assisting Members with toileting when necessary
- Assisting with dining
- preparation, serving, feeding assistance, occasional cooking, baking (if a skill), washing dishes, clearing and wiping tables
- Light housekeeping and laundry to ensure Memory & Company always looks, feels and smells its best
- Grooming, personal care and bathing of Members when necessary
- Carrying and using provided electronic devices for communication amongst the Team
- Follow health and safety requirements and procedures at all times
- Be a kind, calm, and empathetic support to all our Members and their families
- Maintain a respectful, open-minded, open-communication environment with all team members
- Ensuring daily assigned Members have all tasks complete and that they are happy and engaged
- Address concerns when they arise with the appropriate leaders
- Ensure the safety of our Members at all times by conducting regular checks and counts of our Members
- Ensure our Members are well fed, and hydrated at all times
- Maintain the dignity of our Members at all times
- Other duties as requested from time to time by the Memory & Company Leadership team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
