HELM Life is a Virtual Social and Learning Events company. We work with companies across the US and Canada to support their online connection and learning.

We are currently seeking team members to support companies in their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion learning for the next few months.

What the opportunity is:

- HELM Life builds Interactive Learning events - we work with expert partners to build and facilitate learning events based on: Black History Month, Women's History Month, Pride, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, Diwali, Ramadan & Eid, 2SLGBTQIA+ and others.
- We support companies & organizations in their online learning
- We host interactive 1-hour sessions that bring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion content to businesses and other organizations.

We are looking for individuals to fill the role of Virtual Hosts:
**Virtual Host - DEI Learning Experiences**

We are currently seeking 3 to 5 entry-level DEI professionals with Francophone or expert-level fluency in French with the ability to facilitate DEI conversation in French for a freelance work opportunity and join us for an upcoming Black History Month event for French and English speaking participants in Canada. Hosts will receive paid training from HELM Life to successfully provide attendees with an engaging, fun, and inclusive experience.

**For Interactive Hosts, we consider relevant experience to be**:
Have learned about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in an academic setting

Who have read significantly on DEI issues

Who are members of, or lead organizations working towards, equity and change

Who have lived experiences as members of underrepresented groups and are interested in learning more about histories of systemic discrimination.

To be successful, you will:

- Have some knowledge of Zoom, and be prepared to learn more
- Are prepared to do some 2-5 hours of paid training
- Are outgoing and comfortable hosting 5-8 participants working through learning experiences about Black history, Asian American/Canadian history, Indigenous studies/stories, Women’s history & 2SLGBTQIA+ history
- Are comfortable hosting short discussion questions around issues related to (with support through training, peers, and written guides)

**Compensation and Details**:

- This is a freelance/contract position
- Pay for hosting an event is $35 CAD/event on an as-booked contract basis
- Training is 2-5 hours and is paid at $19 CAD/session
- Scheduling is flexible, work is remote
