Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough analysis by evaluating credit, income, debt, and collateral
- Utilize mathematical calculations to assess loan-to-value ratios, debt-to-income ratios, and other financial metrics
- Verify accuracy of applicant's financial information and documentation
- Collect and analyze data to make proposals
- Collaborate with lender underwriters, borrowers, appraisers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and underwriting guidelines
- Make recommendations for loan modifications or alternative financing options when necessary
- Provide updates to clients

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter or similar role in the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent excel skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately review and evaluate documents
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and borrowers
