**Superintendent of Program Services**

**Job Location**: Catholic Education Centre, 46 Alliance Blvd., Barrie, Ontario
**Position Type/Hours**:Full-Time Permanent. Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 35 hours weekly, plus overtime as required
**Annual Compensation**:$185,000
- Work within a collaborative leadership model with other members of the Educational Leadership Council (Senior Leadership Team) to develop and implement on-going Catholic academic curriculum and programming needs.
- Work in a constructive, integrative and active leadership role as a member of the Board’s Educational Leadership Council (Senior Leadership Team).
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Catholic K-12 curriculum implementation.
- Prepare and submit reports and recommendations as requested by the Director of Education. Make recommendations to the Director of Education on matters relating to the program services operations, activities and matters that affect the achievement and well-being of students and staff.
- Lead and direct the design, development and implementation of the Board’s Program Services operational plan through collaborative leadership practices in alignment with the Board’s Mission, Vision and strategic priorities and goals.
- Manage system budgets, ensuring due diligence, fiscal accountability and transparency.
- Manage, motivate and lead a team of Program Services staff.
- Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in labour and employee relations matters, such as contract negotiations and Labour-Management Committees, as required.
- Represent the Board with community agencies and partners with full autonomy and responsibility for the role, as well as serving as a resource to appropriate Board committees.
- Respond to and resolve any number of highly sensitive issues on behalf of the Board using constructive conflict resolution skills.
- Develop and implement portfolio specific policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of services and efficient program delivery.
- Manage organizational risk and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Provide program analysis using effective and efficient research and planning principles.
- Prepare and present reports to the Board of Trustees, as required by the Director of Education.
- Keep abreast of new developments and initiatives related to program services that may affect the Board to assist in improving and enhancing student achievement and well-being.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- Ontario Supervisory Officer’s Qualifications in accordance with The Ontario College of Teachers Act (1996) Regulation 176/10
- Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Qualifications.
- Certified Specialist in Religious Education.
- Current Pastoral Letter of Reference.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years leadership (Principal or equivalent) experience in a Catholic educational environment with experience in both elementary and secondary panels strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in dealing constructively with a variety of leadership, supervisory, employee, labour and community partner relations matters.
- Experience working constructively with parents, child advocates, community advocates and government officials.
- Ability to recommend and co-ordinate system priorities to align with government initiatives and legislative requirements.
- Proven experience in leading large teams, providing ongoing supervision/support to staff using humanistic and collaborative principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a Kindergarten to Grade 12 academic program with strong skills and knowledge in the areas of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices as they pertain to the delivery of the Ontario curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate the tenets of Catholic teachings, legislative requirements and responsibilities under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
