Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Layer to join our team. As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

**Duties**:

- Measure and prepare the area for flooring installation
- Remove existing flooring materials if necessary
- Install various types of flooring materials, such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, and tile
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut and shape flooring materials
- Ensure proper alignment and smooth installation of flooring materials
- Trim and finish edges of flooring materials as needed
- Clean up work area and dispose of debris properly

**Skills**:

- Experience as a Maintenance Person or Carpenter is preferred
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or floor plans
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for cutting and shaping flooring materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues during installation
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing gaps between flooring materials
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- flooring installation: 1 year (preferred)
- tile setting: 1 year (preferred)
