**Metering and Stations Administrator - Contract Position**
Festival Hydro is a distribution company serving 22,000 customers in seven municipalities in Stratford and surrounding areas. We are a progressive utility looking for an incumbent that supports our ongoing commitment to customer and operational excellence.
Reporting to Metering and Stations Manager, the Metering and Stations Administrator will be responsible for providing overall administrative support to the department. This includes all related record keeping, as well as regulatory requirements.
This is a full time, contract position for approximately 14 months filling a maternity leave vacancy.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure accurate current and historic records are filed and maintained for all Metering and Stations related work.
- Daily review of meter communications using various reports. Obtain necessary meter data for billing settlement requirements in a timely manner to ensure billing takes place on schedule.
- Create, sort, schedule, and update metering field service orders.
- Complete metering records installation paperwork, including distribution to different parties. Create and maintain records of installation reports.
- Monitor, update, and report on meter reverification annual work plan within current government guidelines. This includes computer records and hard copy records of Measurement Canada certificates and testing results.
- Liaise with electricians, electrical inspectors and contractors regarding metering layouts, upgrades, and new installations to ensure prompt service.
- Maintain internal documents and procedures as required; work with managers and third-party vendors to ensure documentation and processes are current.
- Work with Metering and Stations Manager to ensure all work order, inventory and transportation month end processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Create capital and expense work orders and distribute to appropriate department for action.
- Work with Engineering and Metering & Stations Manager to issue, process and monitor service agreements for all new generation facilities, and contract documentations for contractors.
- Various other office related duties as required.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Minimum grade twelve education; two-year College Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent is preferred
- Previous administrative experience; electric utility or billing experience a definite asset
- Customer Information System experience, or similar systems experience a definite asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong business writing, documentation and record keeping skills
- Strong problem-solving skillset
- Works well independently with a self-starter attitude, balanced with being a strong team player
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
