**What we seek**:
OCHC is looking for a detail oriented Assistant Project Manager to help with coordination of various capital projects and frequency maintenance tasks. Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Asset management Operations, the Assistant Project Manager will also support the administration of contracted services and related contracts.

**Assistant Project Manager with OCHC**:

Your work and the projects you work on will bring positive changes to the communities who need it the most.

**As an Assistant Project Manager, you will**:

- Provide administrative and technical assistance and coordination in the planning and delivery of planned and ad hoc preventative maintenance, capital repair, renovation, and improvement projects
- Document and update project/inspection records and files
- Undertake building/equipments condition assessments and other field reviews
- Develop a positive working relationship with suppliers, vendors, and internal clients
- Provide a communication path between the Project Manager, Building Systems Officers and other project stakeholders
- Assist the Project Manager and Building Systems Officers with procurement matters
- Monitor and support the administration of contracted services and related contracts
- Attend various project/contract performance meetings
- Assist with various quality management issues and quality controls
- Assist the Project Manager and/or the Building Systems Officer in managing contracted services and related contracts
- Manage smaller scale projects
- Report deviations from project specifications
- Assist in budget analysis
- Identify and assist with resolution of technical problems and coordinate the completion of approved work
- Prepare change orders and briefing notes
- Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of quantity take-offs for future projects

**What you bring**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Post secondary diploma in construction, project management, architectural or engineering technology, or related discipline
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience coordinating the collaborative design and delivery of construction, and/or building retrofit projects
- Experience administering project contracts
- Knowledge of project management methods and practices
- Knowledge of residential construction and buildings, including related systems and components
- Understanding of design standards and building codes
- knowledge of computer assisted drafting software such as AutoCAD
- Knowledge of the development and interpretation of construction specifications
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other standard corporate software
- Knowledge of construction estimating practices
- Oral fluency and reading and writing skills in English are required
- Fluency in French is an asset
