Assistant Construction Project Manager

**About the Role**:
We are looking for a dedicated and organized individual to assist with a unique and exciting backyard Coach House construction project. You will work closely with an experienced General Contractor who has successfully managed multiple renovation and building projects. This role is ideal for a new grad or someone looking for a side gig for casual work. Your main goal will be to keep the project on track, within budget, and make sure all tasks are executed successfully.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work collaboratively with designers and contractors to formulate a comprehensive construction plan.
- Source reputable contractors, obtain quotes, and manage the budget to ensure project stays on track.
- Meet contractors onsite for quote discussions and regular progress inspections.
- Conduct quality control checks on contractor's work to ensure it meets set standards and expectations.
- Source, order, and if necessary, pick up materials in line with project needs and timelines.

**Project Timeline**:

- Phase 1: Project planning, budgeting, and permit acquisition - September to November
- Phase 2: Project execution and build - May 2023 until completion.

**Qualifications**:

- No specific degree or certificate required, but construction or project management education or experience is critical.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team.
- Able to visit job site as needed for meetings and inspections.
- Valid driver's license.
