**CASUAL **Relief for in various walk-in or Family Practice clinics.

Looking for 2 **reliable** and highly-motivated individual to take on the role of a CASUAL **Medical Office Assistant **for busy Family Practice Clinics and Walk-in Clinics in the Halifax AND Dartmouth areas.

**POSITION 1**:Casual opportunity for day-time Monday - Friday work 8am-5pm. Covering where assigned by the Operations Manager.

You must be willing to travel to all locations and be available on short notice if needed.

Must have reliable transportation to work assigned clinics in Halifax, Bedford, Sackville and Dartmouth.

This could be 20-45 hrs a week as needed.

**POSITION 2**:Casual opportunity for Monday - Sunday work With hours anywhere from 8am-8pm Monday - Friday and 8am-5pm on the weekends. Covering where assigned by the Operations Manager.

You must be willing to travel to all locations and be available on short notice if needed.

Must have reliable transportation to work assigned clinics in Halifax, Bedford, Sackville and Dartmouth.

This could be 10-30 hrs a week as needed.

**What you’ll do**:

- Welcome patients by greeting and helping them; scheduling appointments in person; answering or referring inquiries.
- Ensure that patients are moved through swiftly and professionally and that the exam rooms are prepped at all times.
- Follow-up on all test results and maintain filling of day sheets. Data entry into the **MED ACCESS **system for scheduling and billing.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, protecting patients’ rights.
- Billing into **MED ACCESS** system.
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

**What we need from you**:Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Receptionist program. ** Proven working experience in all aspects of the MedAccess system.
- **Clinic receptionist experience in a high volume clinic is an asset.**:

- Proven ability to multi-task, time management skills, telephone etiquette skills, high attention to detail, professionalism, quality focused, high organizational skills and data entry skills.
- Familiar with software packages such as word and excel is considered an asset.
- Must have a min. of 2 years experience.
- Must be available last minute to fill in for sickness and vacation coverage.
- Clinic locations that you will need to work are throughout Halifax, Dartmouth, Sackville and Bedford.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 20-45 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
