The Brick is actively seeking to expand our management team. We need enthusiastic people with a great customer focused attitude The winning combination of team spirit and desire for career focused growth will ensure a rewarding experience in one of our fabulous Distribution Centre This position reports to the Director of Distribution.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain labour budget and cost per unit; plan and schedule labour on a daily basis and assist in the annual labour budget process.
- Initiate and manage controls with regards to process flow in the Inbound/Outbound Department and analyze inbound/outbound volumes to maximize efficiency in the departments.
- Ensure staff members are properly trained and retrained according to training guides and procedures.
- Develop employees through coaching, goal setting, conducting performance reviews; assist supervisors with mentorship activities.
- Initiate and implement programs and procedures required to ensure DC safety and cleanliness in all zones.
- Ensure all equipment is in good order and ensure employees perform pre-shift checks.
- Manage the department schedule including planning for seasonal changes.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving department reporting.
- Promote employee involvement in employee relations and safety committees.
- Involvement in employee annual reviews and development discussions
- Conduct reviews for accuracy with inventory team
- Ensure compliance with all Brick Group policies and procedures.
- Achieve departmental goals through effective staff engagement. Ensure staff members are properly trained and retrained according to training guides and procedures.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Distribution and Logistics an asset
- Minimum 5 years management experience in a diverse warehouse environment, preferably retail
- Significant experience using a large Warehouse Management System (WMS) in an inventory-controlled environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Working knowledge of materials handling equipment and safe material handling technique.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- Self-motivated, high energy and a strong work ethic.
- Superior planning and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively prioritize.
