**Job Opportunity**:

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- You will be focusing on broker engagement through your marketing activities and in-person interactions
- You will develop and expand customer relationships across Canada with a high level of service
- You will maintain a profitable renewal book and generate new business opportunities
- Your focus will primarily be complex, severity based risks and you will be able to underwrite CGL, Umbrella and Excess Liability coverage lines
- You will collaborate with other lines of business to increase customer satisfaction and grow their relationship with BHSI
- You will ensure all services standards are met or exceeded
- You will work closely with Loss Control, Claims and other teammates to evaluate risk and find solutions for customers
- You will assist in forecasting, budgeting, and special projects as needed
- You will share your expertise by being a mentor to other teammates
- You will excel in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and be able to make sound decisions while maintaining integrity and profitability
- Ability to travel across Canada with occasional travel into the USA
- Title will be commensurate with experience and capabilities

***Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- 10+ years casualty experience
- Construction experience is a definite asset
- Strong broker relationships on both a national and regional level
- Strong underwriting acumen and attention to detail
- Experience and proficiency in policy wording interpretation and review
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
- Have an entrepreneurial drive to succeed
- Excellent communication skills including advanced negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills including all business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams)
- University or college degree and enrolled in or completed the CIP a/o FCIP designation
