**THE ROLE**

As part of a dynamic and dedicated team as the **Education, Research & Development Officer - Nutrition**, you will have the opportunity to influence national programs and services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals for a very highly motivated and professional clientele.

As part of the women's wellness portfolio at Human Performance Research and Development you will collaborate with other Department of National Defence services, providing guidance on menu development and identification of specific food items that support women's wellness nutrition service outcomes; addressing nutritional challenges to performance; and interpreting and evaluating a range of national and international data pertaining to nutrition/dietetics and best practices for women’s wellness.

With our team of researchers, you will provide advice and expertise to CAF senior management and health care professionals on issues in connection with health promotion programs, policies and standards of nutritional wellness. With our program evaluation professionals you will analyze, interpret and evaluate findings impacting on the program/interventions and make recommendations.

You will represent HPR&D PSP (Human Performance Research and Development, Personnel Support Programs) on interdepartmental and intergovernmental committees/joint projects and national advisory boards, as well as ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Program and may act as a member of a local NPF Committee.

This position represents the specialized knowledge of a Registered Dietitian and is required to maintain a membership in good standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory authority (College of Dietitians).

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutritional Science or a related discipline, AND several years of experience in a related field

Registered with a provincial regulatory organization and a member of Dieticians of Canada, as required

Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), an asset
