Dietary Aide

**QUALIFICATIONS**

- Successful completion of an approved Food Service Worker course, or enrolled in an approved Food Service Worker course. If employee is enrolled, they must complete within 3 years.
- Successful completion of the safe food-handling course offered through the local department of Public Health
- Previous experience in an institutional setting, preferably long-term care

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Resident preference and choice
- Assist with food and nourishment assembly
- Follow sanitation regulations and safe food handling practices at all times
- Serving food to residents following posted dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Setting and clearing dining rooms
- Washing dishes, small wares, and pots
- Rotating food and supplies and ensuring all stored and prepared food is properly labelled
- Follow all departmental policies and procedures
- Participating in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and other committees and teams as necessary
- Follow Infection Control and Health and Safety guidelines

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 0-35 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stoney Creek, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- dietary aide: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safety Certification (preferred)
