**SUMMARY
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, **Grounds Maintenance Technician **to perform all site landscape activities and interior seasonal maintenance.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
**Spring/Summer/Fall Grounds and Landscape duties
- All exterior maintenance.
- Grass maintenance throughout the site.
- Hedge trimming.
- Flower bed planting and maintenance.
- Tree removal if required and re-plant with new.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Leaf management through the fall.
- Curb repair, parking lot patching.
- H&S inspections throughout building grounds. Parking lots, walkways etc.
- Patio landscaping maintenance.
- Painting bollards, picnic tables separation fencing in parking lots, gates etc.
- Signage management.
- Exterior scope of work development.
- Bike shelter and bus shelter maintenance.
- Repointing lock stone when required to eliminate H&S hazards.
- Grounds garbage pick up.
- Sharps management.
- Irrigation if required on new sod or seed.
- Exterior vendor management. Geese management.

**Winter/Off season duties
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the onsite greenhouse.
- Maintain all onsite equipment.
- Report/address any hazardous site conditions to eliminate any H&S concerns.
- Responsible for any and all exterior maintenance required.
- Plan the following growing season.
- Monitor the site and report on any damages to the property from the snow removal contractor.
- Plan and develop scopes of work for the following summer season.
- Keeping the main entrances and walkways free of excess sand/salt.
- Grounds garbage pickup.
- Signage management.
- Sharps management.
- Keeping catch basins free of ice and debris during the melting season to prevent water pooling and freezing creating a slip and trip hazard.
- Tree trimming and maintenance.
- Pressure wash/maintain entrance grate system to keep free of sand and salt.
- Monitor trash and recycling compactors.
- Exterior vendor management.
- Remove sand from snow piles with grounds machine and relocate to designated area to limit damage to building grounds.
- Break up snow piles during the melting season. Interior repairs to equipment storage areas (paint, shelving etc.).

**Safety
- Checks the technical condition of the equipment prior operation.
- In the event of accident informs immediately according to Company procedure. Follows Company procedures to ensure safe environment, personal safety and safety of others.

**Vendor Management
Monitor contractor work onsite to ensure their scope of work is being met.

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Landscape, grounds maintenance, horticultural/arboricultural experience (Min 5 years).
- Golf course maintenance would be considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer-oriented skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal/written).
- Ability to multitask.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Mechanical maintenance knowledge required.
- Ability to operate multiple tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license. Tech knowledge required.

**Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
None required.
