**Job Summary**
A collaborative and hands-on leader, the **Human Resources Manager **reports directly to the **Vice President of Organizational Development** and is responsible for providing day-to-day professional HR and Labour Relations support. This position is key to the development and maintenance of a fair and positive work culture.
This position is a hybrid remote/in office role and will be based in our manufacturing location and North American headquarters located in **Ajax, ON. **The HR Manager will be responsible for assisting with all HR related to all our Canadian and US based employees, including those in manufacturing facilities in **Toronto, ON, Reno Nevada and Murfreesboro, TN**. We offer remote work opportunities with the expectation of being in the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Maintains HR systems and processes including but not limited to, performance management, communication plans, global organizational charts, payroll, corporate benefits, local compensation structure and wage analysis, worker’s compensation and WSIB, and safety. Leverages observations to make independent decisions and regularly suggests ways to improve systems and processes.
- **Management representative for all labour relations topics including grievances and collective bargaining.**:
- Provide day-to-day guidance, direction and support to People Managers and staff on HR issues.
- Promote a healthy and safe workplace through the joint health and safety committee (JHSC), managing WSIB claims, workplace accommodations, return to work plans and promoting employee wellness.
- Manage a fair compensation program by conducting regular wage reviews and market research.
- Responsible for accurate HRIS system and employee files
- Provide value-added analysis, interpretation of data and HR metrics.
- Employee relations including conflict resolution and conducting investigations.
- Responsible for staff training and leadership development
- Direct coaching and management of Employee Services Coordinator
- Maintain human resources policies and employee handbook to adhere to current employment legislation and culture.
- Manage AODA requirements.
- Coordinates and manages online learning and in person training and development. Assists in the development, coordination, and delivery of employee training on a variety of topics such as interview skills, performance management, safety, harassment, Code of Conduct, and serves as the role model for Swegon North America Values.
- Maintains knowledge of labour law and corresponding regulations and requirements and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Ensures required legal postings on bulletin boards are current. Reviews existing policies and procedures at the facility and initiates changes as necessary to ensure compliance with law, corporate policies, and business objectives.
- Drives the performance management process with the intent of actively supporting a high-performance culture that is open and adaptable to change.
- Inputs and maintains employee data in the HRIS Dayforce (Ceridian) system. Prepares regular or special reporting as required and provide analytical support, as necessary. Maintains employee information and personnel files.
- Identifies health and safety trends and risks to support the business with any required process improvements
- Manages the EHS Steering Committee.
- Supports the business and performs other duties as assigned.
**Job Requirements**:
- **Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation** and degree or diploma in a recognized **College or University program in Human Resources**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role with hands-on experience
- Certified Joint Health and Safety Member an asset
- Exceptional knowledge of employment, payroll and health and safety legislation
- Strong understanding of **HRIS systems (Ceridian preferred)*
