The Village Nursery School is hiring We are looking for 1-3 full-time employees to join our growing childcare centre. We will also be looking for supply staff to join our supply list.

**About us**:
We are a small licensed childcare centre located at 2241 Dundas Street West. We offer care to children from age 18 months to 4 years old. It is a mixed age group classroom, so all children regardless of age are in the same class.

**Who we are looking for**:

- We are looking for Registered Early Childhood Educators or Early Childhood Assistant’s who are in good standing. Must be able to start employment as early as June 24, 2024.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a valid standard First Aid/CPR certification (not expired)
- Must have vulnerable sectors check
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator or Early Childhood Assistant
- We are open to Child and Youth Workers, Social Workers and School Teachers, or anyone with relevant experience working with children from age 18 months-4 years old.
- Experience working in a childcare centre and working within a team
- Awareness of allergies and health and safety practices in licensed childcare centres
- Food Handlers Certificate is an asset but not a requirement
- Will be a great addition to our team
- Is kind, patient, and dependable
- Will provide a warm and nurturing environment for children to feel safe, supported and cared for
- Will implement age-appropriate activities throughout the day
- Will work well with other team members
- Will have great communication skills with families of the children, as well as colleagues/team members
- Is reliable, punctual and responsible
- Must be available for an 8 hour shift Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00-5:30pm. Exact hours will be determined at time of hiring

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
