Regina, Canada Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Team Full time

The **Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Team (RODS)** in Regina, Saskatchewan is an organization that helps young people become winners in every area of their lives.
- Leading our Junior Provincial group and being the primary coach for these swimmers
- Assisting with our University of Regina Cougars swimmers as well as our Elite group
- Helping out with our Intro to Competitive groups at the University of Regina
- Occasionally providing substitute coverage for groups due to coach absences

The coach will also be asked to attend swim meets with the team where relevant, and also complete some miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.

The **Full-Time Assistant Coach** will report directly to the **Head Coach**.

**Basic Requirements**
- NCCP Certification at the 101 level is required, but 201 or 301 would be preferred
- Prior experience in **coaching**, **teaching** or **aquatics** is very much appreciated
- Valid Criminal Record Check + Vulnerable Sector Check

**Applying**

**Coaching (26 hours per week)**

**Monday**
- 3:45-5:30pm: Lead the Junior Provincial group at the Lawson Aquatic Centre

**Tuesday**
- 2:15-4:15pm: Assist with the Elite group and Cougars at the University of Regina
- 4:15-6:30pm: Lead the Junior Provincial group at the University of Regina

**Wednesday**
- 5:15-8:45am: Assist with Elite group and Cougars at the Lawson Aquatic Centre
- 4:15-6:30pm: Coach the Intro to Competitive groups at the University of Regina
- 7:00-8:30pm: Lead the Junior Provincial group at the Lawson Aquatic Centre

**Thursday**
- 2:15-4:15pm: Assist with the Elite group and Cougars at the University of Regina
- 4:15-6:30pm Lead the Junior Provincial group at the University of Regina

**Friday**
- 2:15-4:15pm: Assist with the Elite group and Cougars at the University of Regina
- 4:15-6:30pm Lead the Junior Provincial group at the University of Regina

**Saturday**
- 5:30-7:30am: Assist with Elite group and Cougars at the Lawson Aquatic Centre
- 7:45-9:15am Lead the Junior Provincial group at the University of Regina

**Administration (5 hours per week)**
- Writing practices for the Junior Provincial group, which trains for 12 hours per week (2h)
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned by the head coach (entries, etc.) (3h)

**Competition Coaching (variable; expected average of 6 hours per week)**
- Attending swim meets with the Junior Provincial group and assisting other swimmers

Pay: $35,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
