You have assembled a multi-disciplinary and skilled design team and work towards introducing creative, robust, reliable, cost-effective design solutions to meet customer needs, as well as operational support to the business. The environment is dynamic, fast paced, challenging, and motivating.

You are entrusted with reliable planning and allocation of projects to the Turbomachinery teams to ensure the teams are focused and deliver Turbomachinery objectives on time and on budget. You will help integrate outsource teams so they can function and deliver solutions according to AGT Turbomachinery expectations.

You have led your team to a stage where a design concept needs to be verified against product requirements using structured verification and risk management processes, while adhering to well established project management practices. You and your team are an integral part in achieving the company’s product strategies, namely providing cutting edge gas turbine product designs which are reliable and responding to the world’s ever-changing energy demands.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- You will assist the Turbomachinery department manager in achieving deliverables.
- You will develop an outsourcing strategy and integrate outsourcing teams to support Turbomachinery goals.
- You will be a Product Development Process Reviewer for Turbomachinery, providing advice to product managers on the characteristics and confidence levels of proposed solutions.
- You will assist the Turbomachinery department manager with people development and performance management.
- You will provide guidance to the Project Management Organisation on the writing of design briefs and their translation into program plans with achievable milestones.
- You will assist with technical problem solving across Turbomachinery.
- You will support root cause analysis and corrective / preventative action activity related to the work of Turbomachinery.
- Where needed, you will seek out opportunities for improvement and lead activities to implement them into working practices within the engineering discipline.

**What You Bring**
- You have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and are a member or eligible to become member of the "l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec"
- You have the legal right to work in Canada or work for a company which supports an internal transfer to take this position
- You are motivated by the leadership of a multi-disciplinary team in creating engineering solutions
- You have at least 5 years experience in a gas turbine design team discipline
- You are fluent in French
