It’s not every day that you get to work with cutting-edge technology that helps more than a million Albertans live with confidence—unless, that is, you work at the Alberta Motor Association. We eat, sleep, and breathe innovation 24/7, from our software engineering to our digital platforms and data capture. Now, supported by those capabilities, we’re doubling down on Artificial Intelligence to move the needle even further

In this strategic position, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and management of AI-driven products and solutions within the organization. This is a vital role in operationalizing AI solutions, strategic initiatives, and governance at AMA, while ensuring privacy, data management, and security are incorporated into AI models and use cases. You’ll also be responsible for leading AI enablement initiatives across the organization, and working closely with business, technology, digital and data partners. Critically, this role is responsible for helping establish the guardrails necessary to enable AI deployments in a safe and ethical manner. Because we’ve all seen The Matrix.

**WHAT MOVES YOU**
- You’re a spirited team leader who knows how to motivate your team to get results.
- You're a master multi-tasker who can juggle a variety of priorities with ease—tenacity is your middle name.
- You're a flexible and responsive team player who’s comfortable working with all levels in an organization.
- You love to share thoughts and ideas. But more importantly, you create an atmosphere where your team does too.
- You’re a natural at finding simple solutions to complicated problems and explaining them to others.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Report to the Chief Transformation Officer.
- Lead AI initiatives and work with executives and stakeholders to identify and define key AI-driven solutions for business objectives.
- Formulate and oversee the implementation of AMA’s AI strategy and product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with our strategic and business goals and timelines.
- In coordination with other key governance departments—including security, compliance, and legal teams—you’ll help establish and maintain appropriate guardrails and governance around the safe deployment of AI solutions.
- Lead AMA’s data science team, which will include developing and maintaining training, testing data sets, and validation processes crucial for AI models.
- Foster a mindset of learning and innovation by providing broad AI education across AMA.
- Empower your team to explore new ways of using AI to drive business value and improve operations.
- Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, data scientists and engineers, technology partners, and digital teams to create unified goals and specifications for AI products.
- Stay on top of emerging AI trends and technologies, with a specific focus on how AI platforms can be leveraged to optimize business processes, enhance decision-making, and create new value propositions for the company.

**WHAT YOU’VE DONE**
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science and Agile methodologies (just to name a few) are a nice-to-have.
- You’ve got 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in product management. Bonus points if they’re in AI, Digital or Data related products.
- You have knowledge of AI, ML technologies and trends, product management principles and market analysis and customer needs assessment.
- You have familiarity with ethical standards in AI and data privacy laws.
- You have excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- You’re an expert problem-solver and analytical thinker.

**WHAT YOU’LL GET**
- Competitive salary.
- Flexible benefits.
- Outstanding employer-paid Retirement Savings Plan.
- Great AMA discounts.
- Unlimited learning opportunities.
- Paid Vacation and other paid time off including a Volunteer Day and Me Day.
- Work-from home options available.
