- Qualifications Required and Preferred- Completion of a High School Diploma required
- Food Handles Certification required
- Completion of a Red Seal Certificate from a recognized culinary program required
- Experience in a large volume cooking/food garnishing, catering events along with knowledge in retail food service operations.
- Knowledge of food preparation in a cook chill environment preferred
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations required
- Knowledge of relevant legislation i.e. WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety Act and HAACP requirements
- Good attendance record with ability to maintain same
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical demands of the position
- Excellent initiative, effective time management skills, and attention to detail
- Must be able to work shifts.
