Corporate Accounting Specialist

**The job involves**:

- Supporting special projects, business and process improvement initiatives
- Overseeing the support and maintenance of the computer-based accounting systems infrastructure
- Creating ad hoc financial reports
- Assisting in treasury functions such as cash flow reporting, initiating transactions and foreign exchange accounting
- Maintaining General Ledger accounts and preparing journal entries as required
- Posting journal entries to the General Ledger accounts and preparing financial statements
- Preparing monthly reports and compiling the quarterly Corporate Audit binder
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
- College Diploma with a concentration in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, AS400, Infinium, Stratten Warren, Cognos (BI)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
