**Accounting Specialist**

**Overview of Role**

We are currently hiring an **Accounting Specialist** in our Saskatoon office. The position will be part of a professional services team that focuses on supporting the internal accounting and administrative functions of Westbridge Capital.

Reporting to the Director, Accounting and Finance, you will support the monthly accounting function for Westbridge Capital and our internally managed portfolio companies, including:

- Conduct the day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
- Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, following up on outstanding invoices and reconciling payments received.
- Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices and reconciling payments issued.
- Process and reconcile monthly employee expense reports.
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
- Draft internal financial statements.
- Maintain calendar of filing due dates and liaising with staff on upcoming deadlines and scheduling meetings as required.
- General administrative duties including distributing mail, initiating courier shipments and other duties as assigned.
- Support other financial closing process and ad-hoc projects.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office computer programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- You are proficient with QuickBooks Online.
- You have the ability to work independently with little supervision but are willing to ask questions or for assistance when needed.
- You excel in a high impact position within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- You are very comfortable (and enjoy) collaborating closely with team members at all levels.
- You have superior written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- You are extremely detailed oriented.
- You maintain a high level of confidentiality.

**Requirements**:

- Completion (or near completion) of a recognized accounting certificate or diploma.
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting and finance environment (equivalent combination of education and work experience considered).
