Armtec has the following career opportunity in **ST CLET, QUEBEC**:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and managing the manufacturing activities in the plant. Directs daily production shop work orders and activities to fulfill customer order requirements ensuring customer service satisfaction. Assists Branch Manager and Production Manager respectively.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Directs production activities; establish and monitor optimal weekly and/or daily production schedules in order to meet delivery deadlines taking into account equipment capacity, availability of labor and materials and the reality of work sharing equipment between factories
- Serves as functional back up for Production Manager
- Informs customer service team members regarding status of production schedules and orders on a daily basis.
- Creates order acknowledgement, bills of lading, and invoices using computer.
- Physically confirm production output.
- Verify each machine to ensure it is following the production schedule, with authority discrepancies.
- Ensure effective inventory management using the company's computerized production management system.
- Ensure the plant's supply of raw materials, finished and semi-finished products in conjunction with the purchasing team.
- Monitor performance indicators; analyze the indicators with the various internal stakeholders in order to find solutions to achieve production objectives.
- Identifies and implements practical cost-effective shipping solutions for tooling changes.
- Participates in weekly production meetings, provides branch planning requirements for the following week.
- Manages administrative requirements for employees on CNESST modified work schedules, and limited duties.
- Completes monthly safety inspections.
- Assists and participates in employee work performance evaluations with Production Manager.
- Participate in ad hoc projects related to production, continuous improvement and health, safety and environment.

**Education and Knowledge**:

- Post-secondary education, experience in Logistics, Production Management/Planning or a related discipline.
- Project Coordination and/or Management Diploma, preferred.
- 3-5 years of production coordination/planning experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Advanced communication, negotiation and listening skills; both oral and written
- Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel), MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong attention-to-detail and accuracy skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Time and priority management skills for daily productivity purposes; ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service/client relations skills.
- Flexibility while remaining calm and professional
- Demonstrated ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
- Bilingual in French is mandatory
