Shop Coordinator

**Overview of Position**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Handle loading & unloading of products as directed.
- Operate forklift, Skid steer, and telehandler when necessary.
- Support other functions and departments where required.
- Always follow safe work practices.
- Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments. Relocate items within the warehouse or yard.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies in cooperation with appropriate Project Managers.
- Working in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Coordinating delivery runs within Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
- Inventory and maintain all company owned tools and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
- Plan, coordinate and be responsible for the assembly of the tools, equipment and material for delivery to the various project sites.
- Coordinate and keep track of mechanical vehicles.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workloads.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly daily.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
- Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of construction materials.

**Other Qualifications**:

- Forklift, Telehandler, and Skid steer experience.
- Familiarity with shipping software and systems.
- Adhere to safety policies procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of proper handling and storage of goods, including hazardous materials.

**Work conditions**:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise.

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Inventory control: 1 year (preferred)
- Shipping & receiving: 2 years (preferred)
